August – Backpacks 4 Kids AZ
For the month of August, we are supporting Backpacks 4 Kids AZ. A nonprofit organization founded by Kaitlyn when she was just 11 years old. After realizing one of her friends didn’t have any school supplies, Kaitlyn and her mom, Michelle, took action to provide them. This sparked a conversation about the broader issue of children lacking school supplies. Backpacks 4 Kids AZ has grown into an organization that now distributes an average of 3,500 backpacks filled with school supplies annually. They’ve expanded their services to include a family food pantry that serves thousands of families each year and provides over 200 snack bags and hygiene kits per month to their unhoused neighbors.
