A couple weeks ago, we shared in this blog that DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC will be participating in this year’s Phoenix-area Light The Night Walk on Nov. 5. As we said then, the event is put on by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Light The Night Walk raises money for research to find life-saving treatments for these forms of cancer.
This year, our firm is walking for Gwen, the 4-year-old daughter of one of our colleagues. As part of Gwen’s Gladiators, we are committed to raising $5,000 in pledges to fight blood cancers.
Not long ago, Gwen was diagnosed with High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Shortly after Gwen’s diagnosis, doctors began chemotherapy. She recently completed 28 days of treatment, which also involved surgery.
Needless to say, Gwen’s courage in the face of her illness has touched everybody at DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC, and inspired our determination to help eradicate leukemia and lymphoma. If you would like to make a pledge to Gwen’s Gladiators, please visit our fundraising page.
