Our own Ashley B. Rahaman has made firm news once again. Ashley is now Chair Elect (2016) and Chair (2017) of the Family Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association.
At the end of 2015, the Volunteer Lawyers Program in Phoenix recognized Ashley for giving voice to the voiceless by serving as an advisor to children in family court. As we wrote then, the legal profession is largely self-regulated. Lawyers must play a role to ensure the profession’s integrity. Part of that role is serving in a pro bonocapacity to those in need.
Another part of the role is serving as a leader within the legal profession itself.
Your local bar association matters.
The Family Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association keeps its members informed about case law, state and local rules, and pending legislation in the area of divorce, child custody, and related family law matters.
This benefits both the attorneys and the clients of DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC. In turn, it benefits the legal system as a whole. Lawyers who take time to serve in leadership roles in organizations like the Maricopa County Bar Association play a big role in ensuring the profession’s integrity.
Thank you, Ashley, for serving as a role model for family law attorneys in Arizona.
Please join us in recognizing attorney Ashley B. Rahaman for her election to Chair of the Family Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association!
