At DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC, we are committed to doing our part to end leukemia and lymphoma. These are types of cancer that begin in the bone marrow and lymphatic systems, respectively, and affect the blood. Though both forms of cancer are treatable in many cases, they can be fatal.
Our firm is honored to participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk for the greater Phoenix area. This year’s walk will take place on Nov. 5. By taking pledges from supporters, our firm and other walk participants raise money for research into potentially life-saving treatments.
Sadly, there are many children in the Phoenix area living with one of these forms of cancer. Gwen, a local 4-year-old girl, was recently diagnosed with a form of leukemia called High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, or ALL. After her diagnosis, Gwen spent three days in the hospital, where she underwent her first round of chemotherapy.
We will be proud to walk in support of Gwen and other patients this November. We hope that the Light The Night Walk will bring us closer to the day when leukemia and lymphoma are cured.
