Sometimes, superheroes reside in the hearts of small children fighting big battles.
DeShon Laraye Pullen PLC is once again honored to participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk for the greater Phoenix area.
For the second year in a row, Gwen’s Gladiators are preparing to do battle yet again. Our team is named after Gwen, a four-year-old, Phoenix area resident who was diagnosed with a form of leukemia called High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
This time around, tights, capes and super-powers will serve as the traditional garb over bronze helmets, tunics, and shields.
Super-heroes are a favorite of Gwen. We encourage everyone to dress as their favorite caped crusader, preferably in blue (Gwen’s favorite color). The event starts at 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 11th. All team members will meet at the “Hall of Justice” known as Gwen’s Gladiators tent.
Everyone who donates $25 donated between today and the November 11th event will be entered into a raffle to win HEROES! by John-Mark Gleadow, a 12″ x 24″ giclée, limited edition painting that is signed by the artist. Thanks to Marcus Ashley Fine Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe for the generous donation.
Last year, Gwen’s Gladiators raised $30,000. This year, as we enter the final home stretch, we hope to raise even more. We ask that you please consider making a donation to Gwen’s Gladiator’s Team. Even if you are unable to give money, we ask that you give Gwen the gift of your time. After all, there is still super-strength in numbers.
Please join the team and attend an event that is truly inspiring and not just because of the fireworks. The Phoenix Light The Night Walk continues to serve as an important reminder of the importance of raising funds to support research towards a cure for blood cancers while providing care for those still battling the disease.
